To get their due! To be in a position to make an impact! To test themselves! Just some of the reasons I can think of, but, importantly, we need to also introspect why sometimes women DON’T seek leadership roles or avoid prominent positions- that should never be the case
You are on point Shalini! I think having a leadership role gives us an opportunity to participate in important decision-making and represent the voices of under-served segments. I am also curious to hear about the reasons some women don’t seek leadership roles and prominent positions. This is something we need to talk about more.
