I guess that really depends on your family, friends and work. If you can manage to move without upsetting them…. then consider GOA! I would give my right arm to go and settle there. 😊
There are 2 parts to the answer to your question.
1.Why do you currently live in NCR? Job / Family etc
2. Where do you plan to move and why?
I’ve lived in 10 different cities across the length and breadth of India(including a stint in Delhi and one in Gurgaon). Each has its pros and cons.
Personally, for me as a South Indian, I’ve never felt completely at ease with living in NCR- the general attitude towards women and the overall aggression even for something as silly as a parking spot is very disconcerting for me.
If pollution and the associated respiratory disorders is your main issue, then I do know a lot of people whose respiratory health has improved drastically after moving out of NCR.
But where do you move to is the next question?
Are you restricted by which cities you can find a job in, can pursue education for yourself / your family?
Most of the metro cities in India, do have a pollution problem, but not as bad as NCR.
During lockdown, I have also observed a lot of families moving to smaller towns and semi urban areas – overwhelmingly their response to their choice has been – its a slower pace of life, we have to get used to not having some of the conveniences we take for granted in the metros – but it has been great for our stress levels and our health.
It’s a difficult choice, but remember your health is important and is worth investing in
